IMPRIMIS GROUP has teamed up with one of the most recognized companies in Dallas that is hiring a Technology IT Coordinator to join their campus IT team. Position is Contract and 2 months in length. T This position provides support for the use of technology by faculty and academic staff as well as the operations of general and specific use computer labs and classrooms. The Technology IT Coordinator assists in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of classroom and lab technology in accordance with established standards. Also works in a constantly changing and demanding environment requiring a high degree of customer service support, strong technical skills to assess and address problems. This position is also responsible for recommending new procedures for classroom technology and functionality, developing programs for training faculty and staff, ensuring timely implementation of technology tools and resources, and facilitating developmental opportunities for end users.

Technology IT Coordinator | North Dallas - Onsite | Contract 2 Months | $25-30/hour
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field. Additional job-related experience/and/or education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Professional technology certifications (A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE) preferred
- 3+ years of job-related work in computing and/or information systems preferred, higher education experience highly preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and commitment to providing high quality customer service
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
- Strong working knowledge of modern operating systems (Microsoft Windows and OSX), networking, and communications systems and software
- Strong working knowledge of PC and Apple Hardware.
- Good working knowledge of instructional / pedagogical technologies
- Good working knowledge of imaging technologies (SCCM, Ghost, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of networking technologies to support desktop computing
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity and fast-paced change
- Ability to follow instructions and apply learned knowledge/experience beyond available instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally by phone, in person, and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify trends and react appropriately
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move weight up to sixty (60) pounds and or exerting up to sixty (60) pounds of force.
Job Duties/Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Oversees day-to-day operations of general use computer labs, computer classrooms, and classroom technology
- Provides technical support and problem resolution for lab and classroom technology systems
- Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots computer lab and classroom workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels
- Develop and implement end user technology skill development initiatives
- Provides formal and informal training to users on the use of computers, software, and pedagogical/instructional technologies
- Liaising with faculty and staff to implement solutions supporting academic programs and initiatives
- Implements and maintains computer lab policies and procedures.
- Responsible for proactive review of systems performance
- Recommend software and hardware for lab operations
- Assists in capacity planning of computers and coordinates activities of planning and installing computers and printers
- Assists in creating standardized desktop images
- Tests software for compatibility with standardized systems at the University
- Works with technology leadership on projects, as assigned
- Maintains responsible use of hardware, software, network, peripheral equipment, tools, and test equipment
- Develops and maintains up to date technical documentation and online help files.
- Supports standardized software installation, including training and troubleshooting
- Receives and responds to incoming calls, tickets, text, and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems
- Assists in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations
- Perform other duties as assigned.
