This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can take ownership of projects from concept through production, testing, and implementation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically strong engineer with deep manufacturing expertise, solid project leadership skills, and the technical horsepower to drive complex mechanical design initiatives.
What You’ll Own:
- Lead mechanical design for modular infrastructure systems, factory-built assemblies, and industrial product solutions
- Drive HVAC, airflow/thermal management, piping/fluid systems, and controls integration design efforts
- Develop engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and complete design packages
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, technical risk, and engineering execution
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, field services, and engineering teams
- Support factory acceptance testing, commissioning, field troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Perform design validation including structural, vibration, fatigue, and thermal performance analysis
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards
- Mentor junior engineers and help drive design improvements, standardization, and manufacturability initiatives
- Collaborate with vendors and OEM partners on technical evaluations and product development
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- 6–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience within heavy manufacturing or industrial product development
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, or ability to obtain quickly
- Strong background in thermal systems, HVAC, piping/fluid systems, and mechanical fabrication design
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk products, or similar 3D CAD platforms
- Hands-on manufacturing floor exposure and practical product implementation experience
- Experience leading engineering projects from design through production launch
- Knowledge of power distribution, industrial infrastructure, or modular systems highly preferred
- Familiarity with FEA/CFD analysis workflows
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- Consulting engineering or commercial/industrial construction design experience is highly valued
