EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Four (4) or more years of experience processing payroll in a mid- to large-sized company
- Experience processing payroll in multiple states
- Paycom
- Able to provide a high level of customer service to employees
- Detail oriented
- Able to accurately review data for discrepancies and errors
- Polite and professional demeanor
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships
- Ownership of full life cycle payroll processing
- Suggest and implement best practices for payroll
- Maintain policies and procedures for the Payroll department
- Maintain state-by-state knowledge of regulations governing payroll and adhere to those regulations
- Promptly respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll and paychecks with a high level of internal customer service
- Work to resolve payroll issues in coordination with HRIS company
- Complete multi-state, semi-monthly payroll with accuracy and in a timely manner
- Verify time-keeping records
- Calculate bonuses, garnishments, and commissions
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or errors before submission of payroll
- Work with other corporate departments and divisions to gather and disseminate payroll information
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information related to an employee
- Prepare and send accurate, timely payroll reports to Accounting
- Light administrative duties
