Position Overview
The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive litigation support to multiple attorneys, managing cases from intake through trial in both Texas state and federal courts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-cycle litigation support from initial client intake through trial preparation
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Coordinate with clients, experts, medical providers, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Prepare discovery responses, deposition summaries, trial binders, and exhibits
- Assist with e-filing in Texas state and federal courts
- Maintain electronic and physical case files
- Handle administrative and case management tasks as needed to support attorneys
- 2–3+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Hands-on experience in Texas state and federal courts
- Proven experience supporting cases from intake through trial
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
