Imprimis Group, Inc. has partnered with a growing client in The Colony, TX that is hiring Jr. Systems Administrator.  Our client is growing and hiring top talent to join their IT team.  This role will assist in the system and process design, documentation, and development, including hardware and software, of technologies and processes to support the IT infrastructure and applications to ensure systems are running efficiently.
CONTRACT TO HIRE | HYBRID– THE COLONY, TX | $25-30/HR

Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an IT department in technical support or network services.
  • 1+ years of Network support required.
  • 3+ years of analysis, troubleshooting and resolving system and network issues
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability and desire to provide excellent and timely customer service to staff.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Operating systems, applications, and ticketing systems.
  • Ability and desire to work hours outside of normal business hours to troubleshoot issues including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responds well in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Applicable industry experience preferred

 Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Handle requests from employees with systems/applications broken or not functioning at peak levels, including copiers, printers, and other equipment
  • Assist with hardware setup, inventory, and troubleshooting
  • Provide Administrator duties for assigned software/applications and additional administrative change and support tasks.
  • Administer Freshservice support ticket assignments to address phishing emails, distribution list updates/adds, VPN/Password changes, on/off boarding tasks, grant/revoke user access, phone support, load software, and other duties as assigned.
  • Work with IT leadership to identify, select, and collaborate with outside vendors for additional support of network and systems issues
  • Provide IT support for Company meetings, events, and other special occurrences
  • Work with team to maintain internet connection, firewall configuration, and systems monitoring
  • Assist in providing support for on-site security systems, including, but not limited to badge access, cameras, alarms, and monitoring systems.
  • Often meet and consult, by guidance and direction of senior IT leadership with employees, managers, and executives to determine needs and help select the right solution regarding cost and effectiveness of the solution to match the needs of the organization
  • Continuously monitor and improve the operation of the Company’s technology
  • infrastructure striving for better performance, lower costs, and increased efficiencies.
  • Create systems and be proactive to the needs of the organization whereby needs of the Company are met before they are asked for, meet with employees to find ways to create operational improvements
  • Monitor, develop, support and test backup and recovery procedures and to provide reliability of information systems for small losses like deleted files or more catastrophic events.
  • Set up systems, meet and consult with new employees as to how to use Company systems.
  • Possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude that provides a first-class onboarding experience to those new to the Company as well as existing employees
  • Work with IT leadership to manage patches, security updates, network, and application-
  • level security for all Company’s systems
  • Work with IT leadership in reporting, capturing supporting documentation, and performing validation tasks/duties to adhere to the IT SOX controls.
  • Availability, willingness, and capability to always provide IT support, including weekends, holidays and after normal business hours for areas of responsibility and potentially outside of direct responsibilities.
  • Other duties and projects as required by the business
