The Imprimis Group, Inc. is partnering with a faith-based non-profit organization in seeking a Director of Development for their Fundraising department to create, coordinate, implement effective fundraising and campaign strategies for their organization. This position will focus on nurturing relationships with previous and current donors while fostering new relationships for the purpose of meeting fundraising goals. This is a five to six-month contract with the possibility of becoming a full-time employee. This position reports directly to the organization’s Executive Director and Staff Committee.

Position Description
  • Support the Nonprofit Organization and Foundation by providing oversight and management of all development opportunities, stewardship programs, education, and fundraising.
  • Ensure all policies and core processes for development are executed and embody the Nonprofit's Core Values.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to recruit and develop leadership from the organization to accomplish the annual commitment campaign.
  • Work with the Generosity committee, other appropriate committees, and the Executive Team to develop long-range plans to grow stewardship for the Organization and its Foundation
  • Arrange capital development campaigns for the long-term stability of mission and ministry activity.
  • Bring an understanding of the distinctions of funding sources: annual, legacy, and capital giving.
  • Be knowledgeable about current trends in giving and effectively educate and implement the most appropriate to the program
  • Understand and inspire in others the principle of giving from the heart and soul
  • Maintain office hours in consultation with executive director and staff committee which may include attending weekly staff and monthly Executive Team meetings, planning meetings, etc
  • Collaborate with marketing when necessary for social media exposure, presentations, letter, and email campaigns targeting existing and potential new donors.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience with non-profit or faith-based fundraising
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred but not required
  • Possess a high-level positive and energetic personality
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Possess ability to create presentations and speak before groups
