Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Building Engineer / Maintenance Technician to support daily operations of a large commercial office building in the Dallas area. This is a hands-on role for a skilled maintenance professional with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to building operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems including:

    • HVAC (boilers and chillers)

    • Plumbing

    • Lighting

    • Minor electrical systems

  • Respond promptly to tenant service requests

  • Troubleshoot building issues and coordinate repairs

  • Complete general upkeep such as painting, wall repair, and door adjustments

  • Monitor building systems and assist with emergency responses

  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed

  • Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance inventory

  • Work closely with property management, vendors, and contractors

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial building maintenance experience

  • Strong HVAC knowledge (boiler and chiller systems required)

  • Plumbing and minor electrical experience

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work at heights

  • Must possess own tools

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Must pass background and reference checks
Schedule & Benefits
