Imprimis Group is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney – Municipal Law for a well-established law firm serving municipalities and governmental entities throughout Texas. Job Overview -
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its municipal and governmental law practice. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of legal experience, preferably within municipal law, a city attorney's office, county government, or a law firm representing governmental entities.
This position will handle a broad range of municipal legal matters and provide counsel to public-sector clients throughout North Texas. The attorney will have the opportunity to work independently on legal matters while collaborating directly with experienced attorneys and firm partners on more complex issues.
Key Responsibilities -

Provide legal counsel and guidance to municipal and governmental clients across a variety of matters

Advise on Texas Public Information Act requirements and compliance

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents

Counsel clients regarding labor and employment matters

Assist with litigation, court prosecution, and related legal proceedings

Handle matters involving real estate and eminent domain
-
Advise on environmental and land use issues
-
Assist with municipal finance matters
-
Research and analyze constitutional law, statutory interpretation, and regulatory requirements

Provide guidance regarding legal risk, statutory compliance, and governmental procedures

Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
-
Represent and communicate directly with clients, courts, governmental entities, and other stakeholders as appropriate
-
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
-
Current and active Texas Bar admission
-
5+ years of practicing attorney experience preferred

Municipal or government law experience strongly preferred
-
Experience within a city attorney's office, county government, governmental entity, or private firm representing municipalities is highly desirable

Trial and trial preparation experience is a plus

Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, partners, clients, and other stakeholders

Professional, team-oriented approach and ability to build trusted client relationships
The firm offers a competitive compensation package of $90,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, along with discretionary bonuses based on individual and firm performance.
